Free Friday night drum jam

Channel the inner musician  you’ve always wanted to be on Friday nights during the free Friday Night Drum Jam from 7-8:30 p.m. at the South Florida Center for Percussive Arts, 12600 SW 130 St., #10, South Dade.

Each Friday evening guests can try many different percussion instruments including hand drums and drum sets. The event happens most Friday nights, but it’s wise to check ahead.

And on Wednesday nights, for a $5 donation, enjoy a community jam session from 9-11 p.m. Guitar players need to bring their own amps.
