The upbeat music from Louisiana zydeco, incorporating accordion and Afro-Cuban beats is taking center stage when The Zydeco Experience takes center stage at the Adrienne Arsht Center’s Knight Concert Hall on Saturday, May 30, at 1:30 p.m. for a free concert. The show is part of the Arsht for Miami free community series.

Two-time Grammy Award winner Terrance Simien and his band will perform their blend of zydeco-roots-reggae and soul-funk that highlights the musicians’ Creole heritage. The six-piece band use instruments that honor zydeco’s multiracial influences, from the accordion to the frottoir (zydeco rubboard).
This is in all ages, family-friendly show and although it is free RSVP/reserving tickets is required.
